About the Alumni Association
Whether you are an alum from the Normal School, State Teachers College of North Adams, North Adams State College, or MCLA, we are all one — as 20,000+ members of the Alumni Association. Membership in the Alumni Association includes any person who has successfully completed 12 credit hours in a degree program at the College. Members have voting rights and may participate in the yearly Board of Directors election. There are no dues to be a member of the Alumni Association.
The Alumni Office, in conjunction with the Alumni Association Board of Directors, hosts regular social, educational, and career events both in person and online for the benefit of the alumni community. Alumni Association Board of Directors
The MCLA Alumni Board of Directors exists to drive engagement across our community by connecting with, celebrating, and supporting the unique individuals who call themselves MCLA/NASC alumni. We operate with empathy as our guiding light, and we believe it’s the catalyst for inclusivity and respect. Education is the foundation of everything we do and set out to achieve. Not just the role it played in uniting us, but the assumption that — as humans and as Board members — we’re dedicated to the lifelong act of learning. We achieve this through transparent communication, intentional collaboration, and a deep-rooted belief that education empowers alumni everywhere, opening the door to a new realm of possibilities. Alumni Association Bylaws
The Alumni Association is governed by a set of bylaws that are regularly reviewed and revised by the Alumni Association Board of Directors. The last revision of the bylaws took place in October 2023.
